Ellis Bush
Pastor Ellis' passion in life is helping others grow in their relationship with God. "My first love is teaching. "I love seeing the 'Ah Ha' moments, when the light comes on and someone discovers something new about themselves and their relationship with God. Perhaps this is why I enjoy working with college students so much. They are so eager to know God and see Him huge in their lives."

Ellis is married to Becky Bush, the Music Director at BMBC and together they enjoy having people out to their home for fun and fellowship. They have a big front porch with rocking chairs on it, and a pond for fishing, so just stop by when you need a place to rest and relax.

Becky Bush

Since the age of 4, music has been a passion for Becky. You might see her sitting at the keyboard, standing in a choir singing, or out in front of the choir directing. But wherever she is, you can bet that she's enjoying it. After completing her business degree and pursuing a career with IBM, Becky completed a Master degree in Biblical Studies, and has been in music ministry since 1993. Although she is a native of Pennsylvania, she has adapted very well to life in South Alabama. She loves cats and beaches, and lives among the pines just south of Troy with her husband, Ellis.

Brandon Stephens

Brandon became the youth minister at BMBC in February of 2004. His passion is in leading young people and he enjoys the idea of being a positive influence in the lives of our teens. His education includes a teaching degree from the University of Alabama that he puts to use by teaching geometry at Charles Henderson High School. He also is an assistant baseball coach there which gives him another opportunity to interact with students.

 

Brandon is married to Kara, the children’s minister at BMBC, and they have four sons: Will (7), Marc (5), Joseph (4) and John Luke (1).

Kara Stephens

Kara has served at Bush Memorial since July, 2004.  Her passion is seeing the children at Bush and the surrounding community know God and understand His Word.  She believes that the faithful teaching of God's Word will give children the wisdom that will lead to salvation through Jesus Christ.  Kara enjoys teaching the children at Bush in several different capacities and giving vision and direction to the children's ministry team.

Kara married Brandon in June of 2000.  They have three boys, Will (7), Marc (5), Joseph (4) and John Luke (1).  Kara enjoys playing with her boys, reading, and writing children's Sunday School literature.

Reid Ward

Reid joined the staff in 2007 after being a member of BMBC for three years. He is a graduate of the University of West Alabama and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. After 10 years of serving as a youth minister in Kentucky and Alabama, Reid founded Legacy Ministries, where he works with churches to help them develop and implement discipleship and leadership development strategies, as well as family ministry Models.

Reid has been married to Rayanne since August 2000 and they have three children; Trinity Grace (7), Elijah Andrew (6), and Zachariah Stephen (2) and new baby due in August.
